Despite complaints from the community, ESEA has decided to stick with the original map rotation for it's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive divisions worldwide. After announcing the map rotation for season thirteen with de_aztec_se, de_dust_se and de_mill_b1 included, much of the community voiced their unhappiness with the introduction of non-standard maps to competitive play. ESEA had already announced changes to the map rotation during the holiday season, but has now decided to revert back to the original rotation, which means de_dust_se will be in action next week. In a community vote on ESEA, de_mill_b2 defeated de_mill_b1 to replace it while Sal "Volcano" Garozzo's de_cache took the place of de_aztec_se. Finally, ESEA will use de_nuke_se from now on, as it is now virtually the same as Garozzo's version.
First week already finished prior to the holidays, and action will continue in ESEA Invite starting on Monday with Virtus.pro taking on mousesports, who recently added Finn "karrigan" Andersen to their roster. |
